Date Movie Rentals: Top 5 War Movies

January 13, 2010

I recently watched Paths of Glory, which was recommended by a friend. I was very much impressed with the film and decided to list the top 5 war movies for date night. One’s first impression might be that a war film isn’t the best idea for date night but I beg to differ. A great date movie should stimulate some reaction and dialogue out of its audience. War movies present extreme situations in which emotions run raw, which can easily inspire reflection and discussion. Paths of Glory, starring Kirk Douglas, is my honourable mention for being timeless and for inspiring this list.
