Date Movie Of The Week – I Can Do Bad All By Myself

September 27, 2009

Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself is a movie (not a film) about a woman who takes a stranger into her home, and assumes responsibility for her nephews.  It’s supposed to be about personal growth, and from most of the critical reviews, it hits that mark.  It pretty much sticks to a generic Hollywood formula.  What it lacks in surprises, it makes up for in feel-goodness, and for that reason, we think it’s a date-movie worth considering.

Rotten Tomatoes has given it 62%, Canada’s Globe & Mail gave it 3 stars, and Cinematical doesn’t give it a specific rating but has mixed feelings about the movie.
